The Vice Deanship of Student Affairs in participation of the Saudi Cancer Foundation, Zahra Society Breast Cancer patients support group and Jubail General Hospital held a campaign titled “Think Pink” on the International Breast Cancer Awareness Day. The campaign was held in the College of Science’s theatre and the Blue Hall.

The campaign started with a recitation of parts of the Holy Qur'an by Asma Al Rsheedi. It was followed by the national anthem and a speech by the Dean of the College Dr. Dalal Al-Shanghiti. Dr. Dania Aldossari from the College of Education in Jubail gave a brief speech about Breast Cancer.
Moreover, lectures on “nutrition” and “Natural therapy” were given by the representatives of the Jubail General Hospital. Shatha Abdullah who recently recovered from Breast Cancer talked about her experience and struggle with the disease in “Live with Hope”. Also, “Fight with a Smile” was another section of the program that was held to present more struggles and experiences of women who recovered from Breast Cancer. In addition to that, a role play under the supervision of Dr. Nahed Ramadhan and Dr. Dania Al Dossari titled “What happens after recovery?” was performed by May Al Khalaf, Shoog Al Dossari, Wafaa Al Khalaf. After that, the Saudi Cancer Foundation answered audience’s various questions. Then, Ms. Maimonah Salah delivered a speech about how to deal with Cancer patients.

The program was concluded by honoring its participants. Then the audience moved on to the Blue Hall to view the booths that displayed information about Breast Cancer.

Finally, a marathon was held to support Cancer patients, to spread awareness among people about the dangers of Cancer and the importance of sports in protecting the body from diseases.
