Asharqia Chambers’ Friends of Patients committee presented a donation of 543.000 SAR which was donated by various businessmen in order to provide the needed equipment for King Fahad University Hospital in Al Khobar that will support Cornea Cultivation surgeries and Insulin pump equipment. The committee was headed by Dr. Saleh Al Salook, Director of Health Affairs. The donation was given by Abdullah A. Al Khodari and Sons CO., Riyadh Al Rabeah, Ahmed Al Shadawi, Saad Al Wohaibi and the Saudi Paper Manufacturing Co.

The meeting was attended by Dr. Abdullah Al Rubaish, General Supervisor of the hospital and the President of the University of Dammam, Dr. Khalid Al Otaibi, Director of the hospital, representatives of Asharqia Chambers, a number of doctors, businessmen and representatives of Health Affairs in the Region. The meeting was held on Monday, Ramadan 8, 1437 AH in the Hospital.

Dr. Saleh Al Salook mentioned that “in our tour of the hospital we witnessed how much the hospital has prospered where it consists of advanced technology and highly developed health services. During the meeting we discussed Cornea Cultivation Surgeries due to the successful surgery that was achieved for the first time in the Eastern Province in KFUH by a qualified medical staff.

Dr. Khalid Al Otaibi, Director of King Fahd University Hospital added that “the visitors listened to the description of the new extension’s departments in the hospital which are; the ICU, Sterilization Center, Orthopedic and Neurosurgery Department.
