Under the patronage and presence of His Excellency the President of the University, Dr. Abdullah Al-Rubaish, the College of Education at Imam Abdulrahman bin Faisal University celebrated the graduation of 17 graduates of the first batch of the Administrative Communication Skills Diploma for Deaf. The ceremony was attended by the Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Ghazi Al-Otaibi, and the Dean of the College of Education, Dr. Adel Abu Dali, and the Head of the Department of Special Education, Dr. Youssef Bou Saad, along with the parents, and graduates.

His Excellency the President stated that the success of higher education institutions is measured by the extent to which they interact with the surrounding community, and the extent to which they achieve the needs of this community. Therefore, community service was an essential component of the university's mission, and this program is one of the aspects in which the university interacted with the community.
He added, at King Fahd Hospital of the University, we have a cochlear implant program in which 200 cochlear implement surgery were conducted successfully. Services and full care were provided through specialists, who have been rehabilitated, educated, and prepared to overcome this difficulty. Today, the university has another new educational program for visually impaired students.

He pointed out that the Administrative Communication Skills Diploma for Deaf was first an idea sponsored by the university until it finally came into existence. His excellency said: “We started with the diploma first until the experience matures with complete capabilities and potentials then we will proceed to the next step.” He added: “I extend my congratulations to the graduate and their parents, wishing them every success”
For his part, Dr. Adel Abu Dali stated that the university believed in the importance of its role towards its dear deaf students, in preparing them academically and professionally and qualifying them to achieve themselves, and to achieve the principle of equality between them and their healthy peers, which is one of the pillars of the vision of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia 2030.

The university has sought to build and present a diploma program in Administrative Communication Skills for the Deaf, and today it is yielding its first results, the graduates of its first batch, who obtained a specialized certificate, that will enable them in obtaining job opportunities in various sectors. They are now qualified human cadres, who in turn contribute to advancing the development wheel in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
