October is International Breast Cancer Awareness month and the University Hospital in Al Khobar in conjunction with the Department of Radiology and the Department of Academic Affairs and Training at the College of Medicine are hosting an informative exhibition beginning today, Tuesday October 21 that will run through this Thursday, October 23 at the Main Hall of the University Hospital from8:30 am until 3:00 pm.
Dr. Fatima Al Muhlhim, the director of this campaign, has stated that this event coincides with the international campaign for breast cancer awareness that takes place every October and that UOD's president, Dr. Abdullah Al Rubaish is a sponsor of this informative event. Radiologists from UOD and the community will be in attendance and there will be numerous exhibits ranging from the importance of monthly self examinations to the effects of proper nutrition as well as an exhibit from the Saudi Cancer Society.
