Scientific research developed through effective partnership between experts and with the broad participation and close cooperation with all interested parties representing the government, the private sector and civil society in all its  multiple segments.

 

Aims

  1. Make recommendations and options that provide scientific ground supporting decision-makers in development planning,
  2. Help the different economic sectors to adapt towards sustainability
  3. Drive the development work and raise the level of performance.
  4. Identify areas of scientific research of strategic importance.
  5. Raise public awareness of sustainable development issues among all segments of society.
  6. Capacity building and upgrading the national cadres.

    

Activities that are to achieve the objective

  •  linking sustainable development research with priorities, plans and research programs:

1. Integrating sustainability in education and an assessment of research capabilities.

2. Prepare a five-year plan for the development of scientific research capabilities in sustainable development research.

3. Develop research with participation mechanisms and provide incentives to support research with partnership.

4. The implementation of programs and adjust sustainability inventory in scientific research.

5. An annual assessment of the achievements and to develop corrective measures to the path of sustainability research.

6. Re-inventory adjustment again after 5 years.

  • Identification of research priorities through the establishment of specialized workshops, example:

Workshop "Pyramid" is a high-level workshop used by the United Nations to determine the major challenges facing communities across the Organization
